HAPPY 2012!!

I say this all the time, but i really do enjoy updating this blog and always plan to keep doing it regularly, but music and work has kinda took over my life at the Minuit,
But the stuff i put on this blog often means more to me than both of those!! art, toys, day trips and other cool stuff!
anyway here is the first update of what i hope will be many for 2012...if i have one new years resolution its to not neglect my love for all things retro, buy more stuff, show it on here and possibly even start doing video reviews as-well as just photographs and writing...

First off i wanna show these, i got them from 'Pound Land' i have spoken about the stuff i get from pound land on here before, they usually just sell rubbish, but i always pop in as now and then i find something like this...

They are basically Robot Dinosaurs VS Monsters...but by the look of stuff they only made 3 characters, 2 robot dinosaurs and one mutated monkey...



The dinosaurs are pretty cool, the T.Rex has a chain saw, and a flame thrower looking gun for his arms and the Triceratops has a laser gun for his Horn...
The monkey is my favourite though, he has a spine you can pull out, and is a full on mutated zombie, straight out of resident evil, complete with spikes and exposed brain and intestines...




Next up i found some more funky looking dinosaur mutant toys...




these are classic, and seems to be an endless amount of them, I see them from time to time on Ebay and other toy blogs, and I love em, this one is my favourite...a kind of mutant cockroach armadillo..

this one also makes me laugh...a regular feature on here is dinosaurs and monkeys with mad screaming mouths...
This one wont even stand up!! I had to prop it up to take the photo, and it looks like he needs to take a piss...


I also grabbed these, I don't really know how new they are, but they are awesome, made by the guys who make Transformers Robot Heroes (one of my fave modern day toy lines) a collection of the original power rangers in small cartoon form, I haven't got them all yet but I want to get the zords too they look sick!


here are a couple other things I picked up around Christmas,
to with the stuff I had bought my sister for Christmas, i got her a tone of American sweets...to US readers these might not be much special, but you never get this kinda thing in the UK you see em in movies, but to get a hold of them is allot harder, was cool to try them out!

i also grabbed the MnM machine that was kool...

I know Halloween was MONTHS ago, but this was my STORM SHADOW outfit, I was popper proud of it, I bought a ninja suit and shoes, and made the sword holster, with 2 fake swords that looked real when I had finished the handles and stuff, the back sheath held them very sturdy and lasted the whole night and is still in perfect shape now, COMIC CON needs to be hit next! ha


And finally, I got my mum to find me this out, for some reason (i don't know why) my Grandad (RIP) saved a couple cans of pop for YEAAARS! I don't exactly know when this can of Sprite was made, but it says 'best before September 91' on the base, how long do cans of pop usually last for on their sell by date? Anyway she found me one of them out, I think there is a Cola and a fanta one too, but she hasn't got me them yet,
Anyway a few months ago me and my sister were watching videos of Crystal Pepsi on the Internet and it got me thinking about them, I am glad my mom found this out, I am a massive fan of anything retro and this old can (never opened!!) I think is really cool!

TOXIC UPDATE 21 SEPTEMBER 2011...

As always i am so busy filming, masking music and running events i have neglected my blog that i love updating so much!
Sometimes feel like i am rushing what i need to say on here, but it is what it is!
Just wanted to throw up a few pics of the kool stuff i have collected recently...
So first of all, from that big toy haul i showed pictures of last time, there was these starwars....



about 45 figures all mint with weapons!!! no boba fett tho :( i have broken one my mate fairley gave me but not the saaaame!
There was also this amazing kenner predator in there, now i have afew predator figures, they always seem harder to pick up than the kenner aliens, i do however have the larva see through red predator about 4 times complete! so was great to get this one Mint on the card!

Also i was filming a music video in Chesterfield last thursday and knew i had to drop by the market to check out what they had...
Got this comic which is awesome!

Thought it was a madball, but no...its a promo item from the dog trust to take care of your pets eyes...i think, anyway its a wicked stress ball and being a lover of toxic eyes i had to grab it...
Mel left her batman canvass here, she mad if she thinks she gettin it back....

TOXIC BATTLEGRAFF CAT...

A little bit of bordem on my day off made me come up with this, take one of MANY spare battlecats, and graffiti it....
I think it looks kinda kool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!





Also....this is gonna have to be a MASSIVE review, but i got this haul of power rangers and starwars the other day...



an EPIC haul to say the least, finally got a serpentera, i really didnt expect this guy to be so huge, but he is actually MASSIVE! stands around 45/50" tall i recon!!

DRAYTON SWAGGER...

So in June we hit up Drayton manor...If you ain't from the UK its a theme park and Zoo near Birmingham and its the ONE!! had such a good laugh with my people, Zoe, Lizzie Popz, Calpol and Ieuan...







They had meerkats, tigers, monkeys, marmosets, panthers...a tone of crazy shit, but The best bit about it however was the dinosaurs!
Readers of this blog know i am a massive fan of all things prehistoric, and finding these here was no exception...







Also last month i went clay pigeon shooting with Ieuan, Ricky and Richard, more kool people and got to shoot 200 live shot gun shells, was propper BEAAAAST my arm was bruised to shit afterwards but well worth it!



And me and lizzy also baked a pretty G'd up cake....


The biggest thing to happen in June though was Dont Flop Sheffield Invasion, the league i battle in came to sheffield and i battled a girl for the first time ever! H.Bomb from australia, she was a kool chick and the day was very enjoyable all round!



Now i have got too get to some toys...this is toxic FIGURES kingdom after all, not theos days out blog!

My dad found these at a carboot sale, they are made from hard vinyl and have real detailed paint jobs, the Kraken from 'Clash of the Titans'...
